SAP BW Engineer (Hybrid)

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Job Descriptions:

• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents (process chain failures, memory issues, data quality problems) and address ETL performance bottlenecks
• Execute deployment cycles.
• Optimize process chains, transformations, and HANA calculation views.
• Reduce batch processing times and improve system stability.
• Integrate new data sources (SAP and non-SAP systems).
• Maintain and enhance critical business workflow.
• Document architecture, data flows, and technical specification for clear and maintainable systems.
• Collaborate with BI teams to optimize data consumption layers.

Job Requirements:

• At least a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Open to Diploma with additional relevant certification.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience with SAP BW 7.x on HANA (InfoProviders, process chains, and complex transformations).
• Strong SAP HANA skills: calculation views, query optimization, memory management, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, dimensional modeling, and master data management.
• Proficiency in SQL and ABAP, with experience troubleshooting production issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently.
