Finance Manager

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Management Reporting: Review, finalize, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, ensuring compliance with MFRS/IFRS.
• Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis including Variance Analysis, Profitability Analysis, and Cost Analysis (especially COGS and manufacturing overheads) to inform management decisions.
• Budget & Forecast Leadership: Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, coordinating with department heads to set realistic and strategically aligned targets.
• Strategic Insight: Provide proactive financial advice and recommendations on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and capital expenditure proposals.
• Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor robust internal controls and financial policies across the organization to safeguard assets and ensure strict policy adherence.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations (e.g., SST/Income Tax) and manage the timely submission of required statutory returns.
• Audit & Tax Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax consultants, coordinating all necessary documentation and queries to ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
• Cash Flow: Actively manage and forecast company cash flow and liquidity.
• Team Supervision: Directly supervise, mentor, and manage the accounting executives and assistants, ensuring efficient task allocation and continuous professional development.
• Process Oversight: Oversee all daily accounting functions (AR, AP, GL), ensuring efficient workflows and timely reconciliation.
• Documentation Integrity: Ensure all accounting practices and cost records adhere to internal quality standards specific to the industry.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, MIA, etc.) is highly preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience, with proven proficiency in supervision and financial control (at least 2-3 years in a leadership capacity).
• Strong technical knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and advanced proficiency in Excel and relevant accounting software.
• Experience in the Manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead, mentor, manage conflict, and communicate complex financial information clearly and persuasively across departments
