Senior Merchandiser / Buyer

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Responsible to source, supplier management, and purchasing functions.
• Lead annual contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Manage pricing for new products and price increases, and coordinate price adjustment information with the internal team.
• Manage product specifications, Halal certificates, COA, and other required documentation from major factories.
• Address quality issues raised by customers by requesting investigation reports and coordinating with suppliers to resolve problems.
• Handle product sample requests and coordinate with suppliers.
• Conduct product portfolio analysis to support product strategy and optimization.
• Analyze product performance, including sales, profit margins, and market potential.
• Manage e-commerce platforms and oversee related online product activities.
• Maintain supplier relationships, evaluate vendor performance, and resolve supply chain disruptions.
• Prepare report.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant study.
• At least 3 years of experience within procurement / supplier management or similar function.
• Applicant with experience in bakery and confectionery / food manufacturer / food retailing is added advantage.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers.
• Proactive, able to work independently, strong problem-solving skills, and a good team player.
• Proficient in MS.Excel and Data Analysis.
