Network Security Engineer

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Lead and support ICT security-related projects as the technical point of contact
• Manage daily security operations including incident response, issue remediation, and service restoration
• Configure and maintain network security devices such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and NAC solutions
• Fulfill service requests related to firewall and security devices in accordance with Change Management procedures
• Monitor and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
• Perform firewall rule reviews, audits, and ensure compliance with security policies
• Track and assess vendor advisories on vulnerabilities, patches, and firmware upgrades
• Plan and implement security patches and firmware updates for network security devices
• Maintain accurate documentation including network/security configurations, diagrams, and processes
• Utilize tools such as AlgoSec, Tufin, FireMon, and other monitoring platforms to manage and audit security posture
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum CCNA certification (required); CCNP is an added advantage
• Security certifications such as PCNSE, NSE4, or CCSA are an added advantage
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in network security engineering
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network security infrastructure
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Next-Generation Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point)
  • VPN technologies
  • IDS/IPS systems
  • NAC solutions (ClearPass / Cisco ISE)
• Experience with firewall auditing and policy management tools (e.g., AlgoSec, Tufin, FireMon)
• Basic knowledge of network security compliance and governance is an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex, fast-paced environments
• Good communication and documentation skills in English
• Independent, resourceful, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
