GL Team Lead (Fixed Asset & CAPEX)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Team Leadership & Development: Manage the performance and professional development of the Global Capital & Fixed Assets team, fostering a collaborative culture and ensuring efficient operational processes.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee resource planning to guarantee consistent, high-quality service delivery to our global customer base. Proactively lead the resolution of business-as-usual (BAU) operational issues.
• Process & System Improvement: Champion and drive the implementation of system enhancements and process improvement initiatives as outlined in the R2R scorecard.
• Financial Control & Compliance: Take full ownership of SOX and FCF controls, ensuring rigorous compliance and the integrity of all financial activities.
• Transaction & Reporting Review: Ensure accuracy and timeliness by reviewing and approving transactions, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics, providing insightful commentaries and conducting root cause analyses to address variances and optimize performance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the business to deliver performance targets and embed best practices.
• Audit Management: Oversee and approve all statutory audit reporting requirements, acting as the primary point of contact for audit-related matters for the team.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of Accounting & Finance work experience, including a minimum of 1-2 years of managing a team.
• Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent Professional Qualification eg: ACCA/CIMA/CPA
• Knowledge and experience in SAP, Oracle or similar ERP system.
• Shared service centre working experience across a global/large organization is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills.
