Senior Costing Executive

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Collaborate with procurement, production, and inventory management teams to validate cost data and identify opportunities to optimize cost structures.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of standard costs to reflect current market trends and changes in input pricing.
• Monitor and analyze variances between standard and actual costs, prepare detailed variance reports, and partner with operations and supply chain teams to drive performance improvements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and projections for both new and existing products.
• Support the monthly financial close process through activities such as inventory valuation, cost roll-ups, and variance analysis.
• Generate, maintain, and present comprehensive costing reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for management.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles by supplying precise cost data and analytical input.
• Uphold compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in costing roles, with at least 2 years in manufacturing
• Extensive experience in standard and product costing, bill of materials (BOM) analysis, and variance analysis.
• Solid understanding of material master data and its impact on costing and inventory management.

Others Information:

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SAP Controlling (CO) and Materials Management (MM) modules with practical, hands-on experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and complex data analysis functions.
• Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
• Strong grasp of supply chain operations and key manufacturing cost drivers.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and departments.
