Assistant Commercial Finance Manager

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Job Descriptions:

3rd-party distributors management

• Manage relationships with 3rd-party distributors and logistics partners, including contract renegotiation and performance tracking.
• Run profitability simulations for distributors and 3^rd parties and advise commercial on margin impact and negotiation levers.
• Ensure operational alignment between distributors, and internal finance teams.
• Lead contract review inputs for distributor projects (commercial terms, fees, payment schedules, termination clauses).

Budgeting, planning & reporting & Internal Control

• Oversee H1 and FY planning: bottoms-up budgets, phasing and monthly/quarterly landing forecasts.
• Produce weekly/monthly dashboards and ad-hoc slides for leadership (financial simulations, scenario analysis, variance explanations).
• Ensure accuracy of financial inputs and provide clear recommendations based on modelling.
• Ensure adherence to SOX and internal control standards related to OTC (order-to-cash) and distributor finance processes.
• Support internal audits and implement remediation actions as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
• More than 5 years of commercial finance / credit control / distributor finance experience, ideally with exposure to distributor networks, or FMCG distribution.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation support and financial modelling for commercial decisions.
• SAP/Oracle experience is a plus
