Junior Investment Analyst

Location: Ampang Park, Kuala Lumpur

Job Descriptions:

• Conduct research on a variety of financial instruments, including public/private equities, bonds, and mutual funds.
• Monitor macroeconomic indicators, industry trends, and company news to support investment decisions.
• Draft market outlook reports and sector updates for internal use.
• Assist in building financial models (e.g., forecasts, DCF, comparables) and perform risk assessments.
• Analyze company financials and key performance ratios (profitability, liquidity, solvency).
• Maintain and update portfolio performance reports and compare them to relevant benchmarks.
• Support portfolio rebalancing and manage trade-related documentation.
• Prepare investment memos, pitch decks, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Summarize research findings and provide actionable insights to senior team members.
• Provide accurate data and visuals for investment reports and presentations.
• Ensure timely and accurate investment reporting.
• Assist with compliance documentation and liaise with legal, compliance, and operations teams when required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or Capital IQ is a plus.
• Solid foundational knowledge of financial markets, valuation techniques, and macroeconomic indicators.
• Strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
