R&D Manager (Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, Enzyme & Food Ingredient)

Location: Puchong, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Develop and implement R&D strategies and plans to support the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in order to identify new opportunities for product development or improvement.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the R&D team and across the organization.
• Manage the R&D budget and ensure that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry experts.
• Evaluate the feasibility of new projects and products based on market demand, technical feasibility, and financial viability.
• Ensure that all R&D activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to R&D staff, including coaching, training, and career development opportunities.
• Communicate R&D progress and results to senior management and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant technical field (such as biotechnology , microbiology or food technology ), with a higher degree or additional qualifications in management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical role, such as a R&D , scientist or researcher, with a track record of success in leading R&D projects or teams.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team and build a collaborative culture.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical data and draw meaningful insights and conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence key decision-makers.
• Business acumen and a commercial mindset, with a deep understanding of the market and customer needs and the ability to develop and execute an R&D strategy that aligns with business goals.
