Assistant Shipping Manager (Manufacturing – 5 Working Days)

Location: Johor Bahru

Job Descriptions:  

• To place vessel booking, check and verify shipping documents (Custom form, Bill of lading, certificates).
• To oversee all the export and import shipment arrangement.
• To liaise with internal & external party to provide weekly shipment schedule.
• Responsible for Certificate of Origin and cost of analysis (MITI, FMM, FAMA, Phytosanitary certificate)
• To negotiate best rate with shipping line companies for the shipments.
• Continuous source for new ocean freight and forwarding rate to compare existing forwarder reliability.
• To arrange delivery of samples and preparation of related documents.
• To prepare monthly shipment report, ISO report, monthly insurance declaration report.
• Ensure the shipping procedures comply with government regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• At least 4 years and above of working experience in Shipping/ Supply chain is an added advantage.
• Has experience to lead a team.
