Automation Engineer (Technical Support/Manufacturing Industry)

Location: Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Responsible for new machine start-up from installation and maintain machine performance and modify the machine.
• Responsible for equipment, sensors, valves, instruments and other utility equipment selection.
• Identify reducing operating costs through automation, insourcing, equipment efficiency, and automated-guided-vehicles.
• Conduct machine performance monitoring, breakdown analysis and carry-out improvement activity.
• Isolate machine breakdown report/verify machine breakdown analysis and carry out improvement activity.
• Work on developing new product manufacturing methods that will enhance the assembly line to compete for future business and maintain current business levels.
• Researches, cost justifies, specifies and negotiates the purchase of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain automation and develop SOPs for use within regulated environments.
• Deal with technology provider for project design & engineering, delivery as well as site installation works.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure the projects are executed within approved budget, on time and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Detail check of process flow diagram, piping and instrumentation diagram, equipment & vessel guide and others deemed necessary.
• Perform any other duties as required from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic (E&E) Engineering.
• At least 3 years of working experience in handling Automation (sensors, valves) in Palm Oil/Refinery Oil, Oleochemical, Food Manufacturing or Chemical industry.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin
• Full-Time position(s) available.
