Trade Compliance Executive

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor

Job Descriptions:

• Prepare all customs exemption applications and ensure timely approval.
• Administer customs compliance reporting for all customs duty/tax exemption facilities.
• Maintain and validate customs tariff codes and duty rates for import and export items.
• Collect, verify, and update customs reports to reconcile with financial reporting promptly.
• Submit all required exemption reports to the customs department before deadlines.
• Apply for Customs tariff classification for new items when required.
• Verify logistic, freight invoices, and taxes paid on behalf.
• Analyze freight-related costs.
• Raise Purchase Requisition for freight, taxes, etc., and update into SAP system
• Provide timely feedback on arising issues, take immediate corrective actions for any errors found, and work on areas of improvement and preventive actions.
• Support and participate in the implementation of new systems/processes for the site.
• Ensure all permits and licenses are renewed before expiration.
• Fulfill any other tasks assigned by management to achieve business and personnel objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate possess a Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• Candidate who has experience dealing with Customs, MITI, SIRIM will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with both import & export procedure
