Software Manager

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of software engineers and technical teams.

• AI-Assisted Development: Drive AI-assisted coding practices (e.g., Claude Code, vibe coding) to enhance development speed, quality, and efficiency.

• Backend Development & Architecture: Lead backend development using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) while ensuring scalable, maintainable system designs and API integrations.

• DevOps & Infrastructure: Manage CI/CD pipelines, automated build/test/deployment/rollback processes, deployment strategies, and containerized environments using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Docker.

• Stakeholder Collaboration & Product Delivery: Work closely with Product Owners, business users, and external clients to translate business needs into practical software solutions and maintain product goals.

• Standards & Security: Define and maintain software architecture guidelines, coding standards, documentation, and security best practices.

• Technical Strategy & Innovation: Participate in code/solution reviews, evaluate emerging AI tools and frameworks, identify technical risks, and support software roadmap planning.

• Operational Readiness: Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and foster a customer-focused engineering culture.

Job Requirements:

1. General Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.

• Certifications (Preferred): Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

2. Must-Have Skills

• Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and drive performance across engineering teams.

• AI-Assisted Development / Vibe Coding Mindset: Familiarity with modern AI tools (Claude Code, AI copilots, prompt-driven development) and an open mindset toward AI-driven automation.

• Python & Backend Expertise: Hands-on Python experience and strong proficiency with FastAPI, Flask, or similar backend frameworks, plus RESTful API design.

• DevOps & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, deployment automation, and Linux server/container environments.

• Software Architecture: Solid foundation in scalable architecture, modular design, and system integration patterns.

• Soft Skills & Mindset: Excellent analytical problem-solving, strong cross-functional communication, decision-making, and a customer/product-focused delivery mindset.

3. Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to AI platforms, LLM integrations, AI agents, chatbot systems, or voice AI.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, hybrid) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with databases (Relational: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL; NoSQL: Redis, MongoDB).

• Basic understanding of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js).

• Familiarity with DevOps monitoring/logging tools and experience in Agile/Scrum sprint environments.
