Senior Automation Engineer (AutoStore / ASRS / Warehouse)

Location: Bangi

Job Descriptions:

1. Automation System Operations

• Act as a super user and operational leader for automated warehouse systems such as AutoStore and ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval System).
• To coordinate between operations team and production teams.
• Monitor system performance and ensure optimal utilization of automation equipment
• Identify operational gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Handle and escalate system downtime or operational disruptions.

2. Team Leadership

• Lead and manage the automation operations team, engineers and operators.
• Plan manpower and assign tasks to the team.
• Provide guidance and training to warehouse operators on system usage.
• Ensure smooth daily operations of automated warehouse systems.

3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Liaise with automation vendors, system integrators and service providers.
• Act as the main bridge between operations and technical/engineering teams.
• Follow up on system issues and ensure timely resolution with vendors.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• At least 3 years and above of experience in warehouse operations, preferably with automation systems (AutoStore / ASRS / WMS)
• Fmailiar with automation vendors (e.g., Swisslog) or system integrators is an advantage.
• Familiar with warehouse processes, material flow, and inventory management.
