Maintenance Engineer / Procee Engineer (Food Manufacturing/Palm Oil/Oleochemical)

Location: Port Klang

Job Descriptions:

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and modification of plant equipment and systems in accordance with safety and operational standards.
• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure plant reliability.
• Lead and supervise maintenance teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget.
• Support and participate in Plant Turnaround Management, including planning, scheduling, and execution of critical maintenance activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Review and analyze technical manuals, operating data, and failure reports to optimize equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
• Recommend and implement improvements in maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers, ensuring timely support and cost-effective services.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, manpower forecasts, and spare parts inventory planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and ISO/OSHA requirements.
• Conduct training and development for maintenance staff on safety, repair techniques, and operational procedures.
• Support engineering projects, equipment commissioning, and facility upgrades as required.
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure maintenance quality, operational safety, and equipment readiness.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by superiors in line with operational requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in facilities or machine equipment in the food manufacturing, palm oil, oleochemical manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in plant maintenance planning, predictive maintenance, and turnaround shutdown management.
• Good leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
