IT Support Technician

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang

Job Descriptions:

• Support IT network infrastructure, including network port activation, vendor coordination for cabling, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Provide Level 1 technical support for multifunction printers, thin clients, and desktop/laptop computers, particularly within a production environment.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and peripheral devices.
• Coordinate with and follow up on vendors for network cabling, equipment installation, and issue resolution.
• Conduct routine system checks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of IT systems in assigned areas.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of practical IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Solid basic knowledge of networking concepts and hardware troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills when interacting with vendors and internal teams.
