Ground Suport Sales Representative (GSSR) – Underground Support

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Business Growth & Development:
• Identify and engage prospective customers to understand their needs and uncover new business opportunities
• Contribute to business planning by setting objectives and benchmarks for marketing initiatives and sales activities
• Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to customers as required
• Conduct underground pull tests, installation audits, and prepare accurate technical reports on findings
• Drive sales of existing products while identifying opportunities for new product development
• Analyze competitors’ products and strategies to position the company effectively in the market
• Develop and execute action plans within the assigned territory to achieve sales targets and business objectives
• Perform regular site visits to mines, tunnels, and construction sites to engage with end users, superintendents, engineers, and commercial teams
• Gather market intelligence to support forecasting, budgeting, and solution development
• Implement and align with the annual technical sales program based on the company’s strategic direction
• Research and build a strong pipeline of potential customers
• Establish and maintain industry relationships to support long-term business growth
• Investigate product non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Monitor sales performance using reports to identify trends and address variances (e.g., delivery, financials, forecasts)
• Prepare quotations, process orders, and utilize ERP systems where required
• Provide monthly reports on sales activities and business performance
• General Responsibilities:
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and continuous improvement
• Identify issues and implement effective problem-solving solutions
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS):
• Comply with Southeast Asia Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
• Attend all required health and safety training sessions.
• Identify and report workplace hazards promptly.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times as required.

Job Requirements:

• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Excellent customer relationship management abilities
• Mechanically inclined with a good understanding of technical concepts
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time
• Able to work underground at mining, tunneling, and construction sites across the region; prior underground experience is an added advantage
• Capable of training end users on the installation methods of ground support products
• Bilingual proficiency in English and the local language is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail with solid numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to various software systems, including ERP platforms
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical thinking with a high level of accuracy
• Able to prepare clear, detailed reports and professional correspondence
