Engineering Manager (Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing)

  • Salary RM13,500 - RM18,000

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Job Descriptions:

Engineering Leadership & Technical Governance

  • Oversee the creation, review, and control of engineering documentation, including schematic drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), First Article Inspection (FAI), work instructions, and technical standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team by providing technical direction, performance supervision, coaching, and daily operational oversight.
  • Implement and maintain engineering best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide overall technical leadership and strategic direction to the engineering function.

Quality, Compliance & Customer Interface

  • Ensure adherence to internal quality systems, regulatory standards, and customer requirements.
  • Serve as the main technical point of contact for customers on engineering and process matters, including root cause investigations and resolution.

Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead structured problem-solving initiatives to improve engineering and production processes.
  • Support manufacturing operations through process engineering activities such as tooling development, testing procedures, calibration planning, preventive maintenance, and equipment optimization.
  • Drive process improvement programs using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Training, Capability Development & Knowledge Transfer

  • Design and implement technical training programs aligned with IPC standards and industry best practices for technicians, supervisors, subcontractors, and engineers.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous skill development within engineering and production teams.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and internal policies.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by incorporating HSE principles into engineering design, process development, and daily operations.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics/Electromechanical Engineering.
  • 5–8 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing, including proven supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Ability in reading wiring diagram, including schematic drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Good in problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
