Network Engineer (Router and Switches)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Lead and support ICT projects from a network infrastructure perspective
• Manage daily network operations including incident management, issue remediation, and service restoration
• Configure and maintain network devices such as Cisco Nexus, Catalyst switches, and ASR routers
• Handle network service requests (routing, switching, DNS, IP addressing) in accordance with Change Management procedures
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, outages, and connectivity issues
• Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades, including firmware updates and security patches
• Track and assess vendor advisories related to vulnerabilities and system updates
• Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and operational processes
• Utilize tools such as Cisco DNAC, Infoblox, and network monitoring systems to ensure network health and performance
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum CCNP (Routing & Switching) certification (mandatory)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in network engineering
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting campus network infrastructure
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise network devices (Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASR)
• Solid knowledge of:
  • Routing (OSPF, BGP)
  • Switching (VLANs, STP)
  • DNS and IP addressing
• Experience with Cisco DNAC, Infoblox, and network monitoring tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills in fast-paced and complex environments
• Good communication and documentation skills in English
• Independent, resourceful, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
