Accountant

Location: Tampoi, Johor

Job Descriptions:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting processes across subsidiaries or business units to develop comprehensive and realistic financial plans.

• Financial Analysis: Conduct group-level financial performance analysis, identify variances and areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to management.

• Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to ensure compliance with financial regulations and minimize operational and financial risks.

• Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit activities and ensure timely completion of audit processes.

• Intercompany Transactions: Monitor, reconcile, and eliminate intercompany balances accurately during financial consolidation.

• Reporting: Prepare and distribute periodic management reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analyses, to relevant stakeholders.

• Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax consultants or specialists to ensure compliance with tax regulations, coordinate tax planning activities, and assist in preparing tax returns and documentation.

• Other Duties: Perform additional finance-related tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with solid exposure to financial reporting and consolidation.

• Prior experience in group accounting or consolidation roles will be highly advantageous.

• Strong proficiency in financial analysis, including ratio analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting, with the ability to interpret results and provide insights for performance improvement.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and proper reconciliation of intercompany transactions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
