Land and Property Valuer

Location: Johor Bahru, Johor

Job Descriptions:

• Conduct inspections and surveys of land, residential, commercial, and industrial properties to determine market value.
• Gather and analyze relevant data such as location, condition, improvements, and comparable property sales.
• Prepare valuation reports in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, real estate agents, developers, and government bodies to obtain necessary property information.
• Provide professional advice on property value for purposes such as sales, purchases, financing, taxation, and legal proceedings.
• Keep up to date with property market trends, zoning laws, and government regulations affecting property values.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, data sources, and valuations conducted.
• Assist in negotiation processes by providing accurate and objective valuation input.
• Ensure all valuation activities meet the ethical and professional standards set by the relevant governing body (e.g., RISM, IVS).

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Estate Management, Finance, Economics, or other related fields
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills
• Familiarity with Malaysian Valuation Standards (MVS), International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) guidelines, and property-related laws
• Proficiency in valuation software and PropTech tools
• Good command of English and Malay (Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage, especially for the Johor Bahru market)
