GL Analyst

Location: Bangsar South

Job Summary:

This role focuses on maintaining accurate and timely financial records, managing month-end closing activities, handling fixed assets, project and lease accounting, and ensuring compliance with audit and financial control requirements.

Job Descriptions:

• Handle fixed assets (additions, transfers, retirements, and reconciliations)
  • Manage project accounting (maintenance, accruals, reclassifications, and reconciliations)
  • Perform lease accounting (maintain lease queries, record transactions, manage lease assets and liabilities, and reconcile accounts)
  • Review trial balances, analyze account movements, and prepare reports
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on time, ensuring high-quality supporting documents for accounts of varying risk levels
• Resolve old accounting issues and work with other departments (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Market) to fix related problems
• Act as the main point of contact for audits, ensuring timely submission of financial documents to auditors
• Maintain strong financial controls and address any issues quickly
• Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and monthly performance and productivity targets
• Submit local government reports and surveys on time

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or relevant Professional Qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA / MIA / ICAEW)
• Around 2 years’ relevant experience in accounting function
• Good understanding of accounting principles, standards, financial statements and reports
• Experienced in dealing with key stakeholders
• Computer literate with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in English with good communication and writing skills
