Patient Safety Specialist (MNC Pharmaceutical)

Location: Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Support compliance with country and Global Patient Safety requirements
• Support and enhance the safe and effective use of products, thereby allowing customers to make informed decisions about the product range
• To monitor & report Patient Safety Information
• To ensure required standards of safety reporting are met
• Ensuring local processes, procedures, and systems are in place to fulfil all regulatory requirements for recording, processing and conducting follow up of adverse events
• To ensuring the filing and archiving of safety related data is performed according to company’s global policy
• Provide comprehensive information service to external health care professionals and patients on the safety of the products
• Provide drug safety expertise to internal cross-functional colleagues as required
• Provide pharmacovigilance expertise to Patient Risk Management planning cross- functional teams
• Local Patient Safety Process Owner for Patient Safety systems, SOPs and OPIs
• Responsible for understanding and working to all relevant local and global procedural documents and legislation and maintaining an accurate and up to date personal training record
• Responsible for updating Global Patient Safety with any changes to local regulations in order to secure compliance
• Take part in audits and inspections as required
• Support with any local licensing and distribution agreements are reviewed and if required, local safety agreements are created and maintained
• Identifying areas of compliance risk and follow-up of any issues
• Establishing improvement priorities
• Identifying trends and communicating identified risks
• Planning, developing and implementing of Risk Management Plans

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy/ Medical/ Science
• At least 1-2 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance/Clinical Trials/Medical Scientific Liaison or similar in Pharmaceutical Industry
• Confident, mature, and resourceful with a pleasant personality and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills with possessing good oral and written skills. Proficiency in English is essential.
• Ability to influence strategically to obtain desired outcomes while maintaining effective, positive organisational relationships
• Enthusiasm, team player and with good manner
