Instrument Engineer (Chemical Plant)

Location: Shah Alam, Klang

Job Descriptions:

• Deliver continuous improvement in the operational effectiveness and efficiency of all plants in the area of instrumentation, analytical and process control.
• Make sure necessary support for instrument, analytical and process control activities and issues is provided to plants.
• Develop appropriate tools, techniques, practices and methods.
• Make sure Advanced Process Control is developed and the required technology, hardware and software is implemented.
• Represent and coordinate On Site Operations l&PC interests in the proposal and project commercialization process.
• Make sure Instrument & Process Control (l&PC) initiatives support.
• Choose the ideal software tools for implementing advanced process control
• Develop best practices for the implementation of advanced controls.
• Lead the integration, setup and commissioning of APC hard- and software
• Suggest improvements to existing systems to Tonnage operations team
• Develop and maintain standards and systems for APC applications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 5 years in Process Plant Operations in Chemical Plant industry.
• Experience in Process Control role in in Chemical Plant industry.
• Required knowledge of industrial networks control systems and IT tools.
• Knowledge about the equipment and processes within ASU / HyCO plants.
