Concept Engineer

Location: Damansara, Petaling Jaya

Job Descriptions:

• Drive business growth by securing new projects and increasing sales through technical concept support and solution promotion.
• Ensure solutions are feasible and cost-effective, minimizing financial and operational risks.
• Align technical concepts with strategic growth areas and support long-term business objectives.
• Provide advanced consultancy and tailored solutions leveraging deep technical expertise.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
• Introduce new technologies and sustainable solutions to enhance customer competitiveness.
• Adapt concepts to changing market dynamics and requirements.
• Continuously improve concept development processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Share successful practices globally and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Act as a trusted technical contact for customers with continuous consultation.
• Collaborate frequently with internal teams to align solutions and strategies.
• Present technical concepts clearly to customers to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Support teamwork, contribute to staff development, and motivate colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (with strong automation/production focus).
• Deep knowledge of automation technologies (pneumatics, electrics, motion control, robotics, controls), electronics & assembly processes (including semiconductors), and sustainability in automation solutions.
•  Proficient in 3D CAD tools (preferably Creo Parametrics) for concept modeling; hands-on experience in machine design or production line integration.
• Several years in concept development, R&D, or application engineering within automation or machine-building industries; pre-sales technical support experience with global key accounts.
• Knowledge of production concepts (lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0, AI in automation); proven track record of converting concepts into successful projects with measurable business outcomes.
• Strong presentation and technical communication skills; experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
