Pre Sales Engineer (Automation)

Location: Bayan Lepas,Penang

Job Descriptions:

• Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical consultancy and develop tailored automation solutions based on customer requirements.
• Design both electrical and mechanical system concepts using standard components.
• Prepare detailed, feasible application proposals through simulations, calculations, or sample setups.
• Support on-site and remote commissioning activities with technical advisory services.
• Assist in pricing strategies by evaluating the technical and commercial value of proposed solutions.
• Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives to train internal teams on new tools and technologies.
• Explore new business opportunities and support automation growth strategies.
• Use demonstration and experience centers to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
• Manage opportunities throughout the full project lifecycle—from identification to installation.
• Work closely with internal teams and regional colleagues to provide expert support.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in pre-sales, application engineering, or technical support in automation or motion systems.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of control systems, electric motion technologies, and industrial automation architectures
• Willing to travel
