Plant Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Klang, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Oversee the entire operations of the plant to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant processes.
• Establish and maintain effective systems for production planning, process monitoring, and reporting.
• Ensure the integrity of the cold chain logistics from processing to customer delivery is maintained at all times.
• Prepare and submit regular operational and production reports to Management Representative (MR).
• Monitor and coordinate monthly and yearly stock take activities.
• Manage procurement of shell eggs and other raw materials required for production.
• Support the finance team in following up on customer payments.
• Ensure the implementation and adherence to ISO and HACCP requirements throughout the plant.
• Coordinate calibration and preventive maintenance of all processing equipment.
• Supervise production operators to ensure compliance with food safety practices, particularly related to CCP (Critical Control Points) and OPRP (Operational Prerequisite Programs).
• Serve as the Food Safety Team Leader and Product Recall Coordinator.
• Liaise with and report to the Department of Environment (DOE) as required.
• Organize food safety meetings and prepare accurate minutes for documentation.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pest control programs and ensure their proper implementation.
• Conduct regular reviews of operational and food safety risks and implement mitigation plans.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of working experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement
• In-depth understanding of ISO standards and HACCP systems
• Familiarity with cold chain logistics and food safety regulations
• Knowledge of DOE reporting and compliance procedures is an added advantage
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
