Electrical Maintenance Engineer (5 days a week)

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor

Job Descriptions:

1. Train, evaluate, and certify the technical proficiency of Electrical Chargemen and Technicians.
2. Hands on in operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and design of high voltage electrical systems.
3. Maintenance and Repair:

• Establish a strategy for procurement, replacing, engineering, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Ensure maintenance teams are trained to operate, maintain and troubleshoot the new systems
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, switchgear, electrical control systems, and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

4. Preventive Maintenance:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment and systems to prevent unexpected breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical components to identify and address potential issues.

5. System Upgrades and Improvements:

• Develop and review design, installation, and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing systems to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.

6. Safety and Compliance:

• Perform safety audits to ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, local regulations, and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure all electrical systems meet safety and regulatory requirements.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
• Prepare and present reports on equipment performance and maintenance cost.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to order necessary parts and materials.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and power distribution.
• Familiarity with high voltage systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
