Senior Procurement Executive

Location: Pelabuhan Klang

Job Descriptions:

Supplier Evaluation & Management: Evaluate and recommend suppliers based on lead time, cost, quality, and CSR, and monitor their performance through a supplier management system. Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure smooth operations.

Process Improvement & Efficiency: Continuously assess and improve processes by gathering feedback, analyzing data, and implementing strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Inventory & Procurement Management: Oversee procurement of raw materials and finished goods, optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, and implement controls to reduce stock discrepancies, shrinkage, and overstocking.

Risk & Compliance Management: Conduct risk assessments, develop contingency plans for potential supply chain disruptions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain success, prepare regular reports on cost, delivery, and service levels, and monitor transaction data for potential fraud or dishonesty.

Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with factory stakeholders to set improvement goals and communicate regularly with all relevant parties regarding supply chain updates, performance, and issues.

Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the company’s operational needs.

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or master in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, or any equivalent field is required.
• At least 4 years of proven working experience in Supply Chain/Procurement managerial position, preferably in an FMCG setting.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in computer literacy skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suites. Proficiency in quality control tool and software is preferred.
• Strong track record in team management.
• Skilled in analytical thinking, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Proven track record to be detailed-oriented and has strong ability in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes.
