Project Engineer (Manufacturing/Plastic Injection)

Location:  Gelang Patah

Job Descriptions:

• Oversee and manage the fabrication process of molds, transforming design concepts into full production capability.
• Initiate and launch tooling projects upon receiving CAD files.
• Coordinate tooling quotations and serve as the primary liaison with both local and international customers.
• Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure production readiness and timely delivery schedules.
• Lead the entire project workflow, from vendor coordination to mold assembly and trial runs.
• Participate in mold trials alongside customers and molding engineers.
• Address necessary modifications and rectifications on tooling while ensuring sample qualification for customers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, facilitating discussions with internal departments and managing project timelines.
• Assess modification costs and ensure timely tooling deliveries.
• Implement engineering changes in both design and project structures.
• Continuously monitor and track project progress to ensure adherence to schedules.
• Contribute to process improvements to reduce lead times and maximize production efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Must hold at least a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Willing to work in Nusajaya, Johor.
• Preferably candidates with experience in Mechanical, Automotive, Connectors, or Precision Engineering.
