Production Manager

Location: Klang, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Oversee Daily Production Operations: Manage and coordinate all aspects of vehicle production, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are consistently met.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead production supervisors, line leaders, and technicians to maintain a productive and motivated workforce.
• Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement production plans to meet delivery timelines while optimizing resource utilization.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet company and industry quality standards, and work closely with QA/QC teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve cost-efficiency.
• Inventory and Resource Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, parts, and finished goods; ensure timely procurement and minimal downtime.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with departments such as R&D, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to support smooth production operations.
• Reporting & Analysis: Track KPIs, generate production reports, and present performance data to senior management with actionable recommendations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or any related field.
• Minimum 5 years and above of working experience in production in Automotive manufacturing.
• Experience in managerial/supervisory role within the vehicle or automotive industry.
• Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, production planning and quality control methods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma, ISO/TS 16949 (Automotive Quality Management), or equivalent.
