Maintenance Manager (Palm Oil/Oleochemical/Edible Oil)

Location: Port Klang, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Lead the maintenance and repair of all equipment, including pumps, valves, pipelines, boilers, turbines and ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and reliably.
• Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, valves, and pipeline systems to ensure the smooth transport and processing of materials within the palm mill.
• Identify potential issues with valves and pipelines, performing inspections and repairs to prevent breakdowns and leaks.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure maintenance activities align with operational needs and schedules, minimizing disruption.
• Implement best practices to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce operational costs, and ensure long-term reliability of the palm mill’s systems.
• Manage a team of skilled technicians and engineers, and technical support.
• Assign tasks, oversee daily maintenance activities, and ensure that safety and quality standards are adhered to across the team.
• Ensure all maintenance procedures are carried out in compliance with industry safety standards, especially in high-risk areas such as pumps, pipelines, and high-pressure systems.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, fostering a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting equipment performance, breakdown analysis, and any recommendations for improvements or upgrades.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance management, particularly in the palm oil or similar industries.
• Technical knowledge of pumps, valves, pipelines, and other key industrial machinery.
