Head of Project (HVAC/Cooling System)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

1. Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Oversight

• Stay updated on market and legal changes affecting projects.
• Adapt strategies to reflect local business environments.
• Lead national project planning and execution aligned with corporate strategy and market needs.
• Prioritize and balance projects, resources, and timelines to maximize organizational value.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and drive growth opportunities.

2. Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal standards, industry best practices, and local regulations.
• Standardize project methodologies and documentation across all initiatives.

3. Project Execution & Delivery

• Oversee successful project delivery on time, within scope and budget.
• Support project managers in risk management and problem-solving.
• Handle escalations and ensure high team performance.

4. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure transparent communication and reporting across all project phases.

5. Resource & Talent Management

• Optimize allocation of budgets, personnel, and materials.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing project teams.

6. Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate portfolio-level risks.
• Communicate issues proactively with action plans for resolution.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Promote a culture of learning and process efficiency.
• Facilitate lessons-learned reviews and implement best practices.

8. Financial Management

• Monitor project budgets and ROI.
• Provide regular financial updates to leadership.

9. Change Management

• Lead organizational changes stemming from project outputs.
• Ensure seamless integration of projects into operations.

10. Market & Regulatory Alignment

• Stay updated on market and legal changes affecting projects.
• Adapt strategies to reflect local business environments.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. PMP, PRINCE2, or PgMP certification required.
• 10+ years in project management; 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success in large-scale project delivery within multinational settings.
• Experience leading distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with project tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, JIRA).
• Strong financial oversight skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
