GL Analyst

Location: Kelana Jaya

Job Descriptions:

• Implement a new global statutory reporting tool for the Asia Pacific region.
• Support local finance teams in transitioning from traditional reporting methods to the new tool.
• Assist in the preparation of annual local statutory reports alongside local finance teams.
• Partner with local finance to address any issues or concerns with the tool.
• Serve as the global central administrator for the tool, including:
  • Granting, modifying, and revoking user access.
  • Reviewing and updating the SOP to ensure it is current for all BSC regions.
• Provide guidance and training on the new tool to local finance teams, team members, and external auditors.
• Provide general ledger support and analysis inclusive of period end financial close responsibilities for the AP.
• Provide support across General Ledger and other GL sub-process activities.
• Maintain an accurate and current accounting ledger which reflects the country’s transactional reality through timely posting of all required items.
• Ensure that all transactions are correctly reflected in the ledger on a country basis.
• Ensure accurate and timely period reporting that complies with Corporate and country requirements.
• Responsible for monthly Account Reconciliation processes on a timely basis and adhering to all corporate standards and guidelines.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company including demonstrated experience in dealing with US and ex-US accounting
• Experience using SAP desired.
• Experience with US GAAP is desired.
• Experience with non-US GAAP environments.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset and cash & investment process
• Experience working with global cultures.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
