Service Engineer (MNC)

  • Salary RM7,000-RM8,000

Location: Johor Bahru

Job Descriptions:

  • Lead the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cooling systems (CRAC units, chillers, cooling towers) in data center environments, ensuring correct setup, integration, and optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze data for inefficiencies, and implement corrective measures to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain thermal stability.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on HVAC systems; respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and prioritize urgent repairs to minimize downtime in critical operations.
  • Recommend energy-saving measures and system upgrades; provide expert advice to clients on system optimization, cooling loads, and thermal management aligned with sustainability goals.
  • Prepare accurate service records and reports; provide clients with clear updates on system status, recommendations, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure all service work adheres to safety standardsregulations, and industry best practices, creating a safe work environment at all times.
  • Represent the company professionallyidentify and relay sales opportunities to head office during service activities.

Job Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Certifications or vocational training in HVAC or related technical fields are advantageous.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in related field
  • Exposure to Data centre is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with CRAC units, chillers, cooling towers, thermal management systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems.
  • Familiarity with thermal load management, energy efficiency best practices, and data centre infrastructure.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for HVAC systems (BMS, airflow meters, temperature sensors).
  • Willing to travel regularly (day-to-day basis) and be on-call or work overtime/weekends as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, time management, and customer service orientation.
  • Able to work independently, in teams, and handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
