Environmental Health & Safety Manager (Semiconductor)

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

1. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with various laws, regulations, and standards, including federal, state, and local requirements related to safety, health, and environment.
• Maintain and manage certifications and permits, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

2. Policy and Procedure Management:

• Develop, implement, review, and maintain safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices

3. Safety and Health Management:

• Manage and oversee safety, health, and environmental (EHS) programs and practices.
• Conduct regular audits and investigations to ensure adherence to safety and health protocols.
• Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

4. Training and Orientation:

• Conduct orientation and training programs for employees to enhance EHS knowledge and compliance.
• Develop and deliver training programs to meet regulatory requirements and company objectives.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and ensure completion of EHS reports, regulatory reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Report safety and health-related events and findings to management.

6. Incident Management:

• Coordinate with government officers during inspections and assist with corrective actions.
• Track and address EHS audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

7. Leadership and Continuous Improvement:

• Provide leadership and drive continuous improvement in EHS practices.
• Develop and implement effective safety programs and initiatives to prevent injuries and enhance safety culture.

8. Interaction with Regulatory Agencies:

• Interface with local regulatory agencies for inspections, inquiries, and corrective actions as required.

9. Metric Tracking and Performance Monitoring:

• Track EHS metrics and monitor environmental performance for equipment and processes.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma/Master in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4-5 years of working experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent leadership, problem solving, attention to detail, and meticulous.
• Strong project management skills, analytical skills, and risk assessment.
• Ability to work independently, positive attitude, and a good team player.
• Relevant certification or membership in a professional body is a plus.
