Electrical Maintenance Engineer (PLC/Manufacturing)

Location: Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

• Lead and oversee both preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment reliability, safety, and operational uptime within the facility.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, manage technician teams, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance costs.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns, diagnose faults, and provide effective troubleshooting solutions.
• Perform maintenance tasks, manage breakdown incidents, and lead project execution with strong expertise in Electrical and Electronic systems, including PLC programming, interpreting wiring diagrams, and hands-on wiring work.
• Plan, organize, and monitor routine maintenance activities such as Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Machine Service Records, and Engineering Work Requests.
• Source and acquire specialized components, fixtures, and fittings as needed.
• Develop and maintain maintenance procedures while managing inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure calibration of instruments is effective and accuracy is maintained.
• Coordinate and organize maintenance teams to ensure round-the-clock support.
• Monitor and control spare part inventories, including sourcing and stock management.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure timely submission of monthly reports.
• Supervise engineering and technical staff to ensure smooth operations and adherence to standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by the Superior.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Professional Certificate or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in PLC programming languages with hands-on experience in operating PLC systems for troubleshooting and project implementation.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD, pneumatic systems, electrical/wiring diagrams, as well as electrical, mechanical, and industrial systems; prior experience working with machinery is an advantage.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with effective manpower management capabilities. Able to collaborate well within a team and communicate clearly across various levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledgeable in industry regulations, safety standards, and performance benchmarks. Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
