EHS Assistant Manager

Location: Johor Bahru, Johor

Job Descriptions:

1. Assist in developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and promote continuous improvement.
2. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace.
3. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
4. Assist in preparing for and conducting internal and external EHS audits.
5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
6. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
7. Conduct safety orientations for new hires and ongoing training sessions.
8. Assist in managing waste disposal, recycling programs, and pollution control measures.
9. Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
10. Promote initiatives to enhance employee well-being and reduce workplace injuries.
11. Provide support in strategic planning and decision-making.
12. Prepare regular reports on EHS performance and initiatives for management review.
13. Liaise with Government agencies namely DOE,DOSH,MBJB,BOMBA,JBA.
14. Manage security system (CCTV) & Sewage system.
15. Monitoring and arranging samples as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Greenbook holder
• Knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and standards, such as OSHA, EPA, and FDA regulations.
• Knowledge in ISO 14000.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
