Design Engineer (Factory Automation/Fabrication/Manufacturing)

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

1. Design and Development:

• Responsible for the design and development of engineering solutions and providing engineering solutions to clients in worldwide, specializes in fertilizer plants, fertilizer plants, steel fabrication and feedmill processing plants.
• Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Work closely with the R&D and product development teams to conceptualize, design, and improve products or systems.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.

2. Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with project managers, production teams and clients to understand requirements and provide engineering solutions.
• Support the manufacturing team during the production phase, ensuring designs are accurately translated into finished products.
• Provide technical support to clients, including responding to queries and troubleshooting design-related issues.

3. Quality and Compliance:

• Ensure designs meet the necessary quality standards and comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular design reviews and ensure products meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Perform testing and validation of designs to ensure product reliability and durability.

4. Project Management:

• Assist in the preparation of project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Track project progress and ensure timely delivery of engineering designs.
• Assist in cost estimation and material selection for designs.

To be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.).
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in design engineering in manufacturing or engineering services.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
