Assistant Manager – Statutory Financial Accounting

Job Overview

  • Salary RM8,000 - RM9,000

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

1. Statutory Accounting

  • Responsible for initiating local statutory accounting adjustments for general transactions, depreciation, inventory, and other financial transactions.
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensure up to date knowledge of local statutory accounting and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Identifies and accurately maps/accounts for any adjustments to USGAAP necessary to comply with local statutory accounting requirements
  • Ensures complete reconciliations of local GAAP financials

2. Local Statutory Financial Statements preparation

Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements compliant with local requirements from a reporting package across all entities including

  • Prepare data extract (Data download from ERP’s)
  • Data review
  • Analysis
  • YE adjustments
  • Disclosure notes

3. Statutory External Audit

Assist in providing full support for auditors on local financial statements audits, including coordination of information

  • Documentation support for the Audit
  • Work with the Controllers team as required
  • Respond to and close external auditors’ queries in a timely and efficient manner.

4. Approval and Filing of Statutory Financial Statements

  • Assist in preparation of all documents connected with the approval by the Board and the shareholders of local Statutory audited financial statements, collaborating with other functions (Legal, Company Secretarial, others) as required.
  • Ensures all documentation including financial statements, board and shareholder resolutions is approved and signed.
  • Filing of audited financial statements (and associated documentation) with local authorities (whether electronic, physical or both).
  • Respond to and resolve any queries from the local authorities in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Professional studies
  • Minimum 5 years working experience preferably in with 3 years in audit firm
  • Good communication skills and able to interact with stakeholders
  • Must have experienced dealing with auditors and tax agents
