Accounts Executive (AP/AR)

  • Salary RM3,300.00 - RM4,500.00

Location: Klang, Selangor

Job Descriptions:

AP Invoicing

  • Check and verify invoices for assigned locations to ensure proper documentation and approvals before payment.
  • Process invoices and payments accurately and on time.
  • Identify and resolve invoice issues by working with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Respond to inquiries from both internal departments and external vendors.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts, including clearing any old pre-payments.
  • Help with monthly closing tasks and prepare reports like supplier reconciliations.
  • Join monthly calls with local finance and procurement teams to solve outstanding issues.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required information.
  • Assist with special projects and help maintain process improvements.

 

AR Revenue Management and Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform daily tasks related to your area of expertise, ensuring smooth month-end closing (e.g., Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, and preparing month-end reports) while working under tight deadlines.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure supporting schedules are accurate based on account risk levels.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and quickly address any issues that arise.
  • Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and monthly performance targets.
  • Update desktop procedures to reflect process changes.
  • Participate in ad hoc AR and GBS tasks.
  • Provide support to other markets within the AR area.
  • Help with new initiatives and process changes in your area.
  • Assist in identifying the root cause of recurring problems and suggest actions to prevent them.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement using Lean methodology.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum a diploma / bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
  • At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin (both verbal and written) to support China Country
  • ERP systems knowledge (Oracle, JDE, SAP) will be an added advantage.
