Account Payable Analyst (6 months contract)

Location: KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur

Job Descriptions:

• Process pre-coded invoices accurately, including both purchase order (PO) and non-PO types, depending on the assigned scope.
• Respond promptly and professionally to vendor inquiries.
• Ensure all assigned invoices are properly accounted for by the end of each business day.
• Prepare GRIR and AP Aging reports within the defined service level agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor and follow up on GRIR, AP Aging, and balance sheet items to ensure timely resolution and avoid backlog beyond key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) end-to-end process and effectively utilize accounting and business systems, particularly SAP, to provide accurate and complete information.
• Identify recurring issues and escalate them to Senior Analysts or Team Managers for root cause analysis and resolution planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels, including the P2P team and internal inquiry management team, to gather incident details and clarify requests.
• Actively seek and share new solutions and knowledge to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Perform tasks in accordance with the internal control framework.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and support the implementation of enhancements.
• Provide assistance during migration projects to ensure a seamless transition of activities.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 2 years of prior Accounts Payable/Payment’s experience
• Knowledge of SAP and Banking Portal is a required
• Microsoft Suite skills, specifically in Excel at an intermediate level (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formatting, basic formulas) or higher preferred
• Responsibility and accuracy in the completion of received tasks.
