Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma
in
Engineering (Computer), Computer Science/Information Technology or its
equivalent.
- At
least 2 years relevant experience.
- Those
with MCDBA Certified would have an added advantage.
- Experience
in managing Database - setup, maintain, enhance
performance of MS SQL 2000/2005

Responsibilities:
- Planning
dataflows for a new or revised database
- Install,
test and deploy new database
- Maintaining
data standards, including adherence to the Data
Protection Act
- Apply
upgrades and fixes and migrate to new version
- Controlling
access permissions and privileges
- Ensuring
storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are
functioning correctly
- Capacity
planning
- Working
closely with IT project managers, and software engineers
- Communicating
regularly to ensure the database integrity and
security
- Support
development and production environments
